Make-up related Questions
about the 10 Step Make-up Guide:
1.
I am not in my 20’s anymore and have found in the past that most books only offer
information for younger girls. Will this book offer me
practical advice?
Yes! The
advice I offer in the 10 Step Make-up Guide really applies to everyone. I
also give tips throughout the book regarding how to avoid aging your
skin with make-up.
2.
Is this book available in print format or only as an e-book?
The 10 Step Make-up Guide is only
available as an e-book. The reason why I decided to only make
it available in this format is so it could be affordable to
everyone. Print colour books are generally very costly and
will only be purchased by a selected few. This book is an essential guide to make-up and every woman should have easy access to it!
3.
I really do not know anything about make-up. Would I be able
to do my make-up after reading this book?
Yes, this book is
really focused at educating all women in the subject of make-up.
- You will learn
why you need to wear certain make-up products.
- Which products
and tools to use and how they will benefit you.
- Which make-up
colours to choose.
- How and were to
apply the make-up.
Once you have read
the book, you simply need to practice to perfect your look!
4.
Do you promote specific make-up brands or products?
No, I do not
promote specific make-up brands or products! The 10 Step Make-up Guide will provide you with enough information to educate you about products.
- Why you need
certain make-up products and how they will benefit you.
- Which colours
to choose.
- How to determine
whether it is a good quality product or not.
You will be able
to make an educated decision on your own regarding which products to
purchase, after reading this book.
5.
I have been doing my own make-up for many years now, and I think that I
am very good at it. Will this book be able to teach me
something new?
I teach a very
specific 10-Step routine in this book. Even if you have been
applying make-up a certain way for years, this routine will offer you a
refreshing way of doing your make-up.
General Make-up Questions:
1.
My foundation always looks slightly unnatural to me. What am
I doing wrong?
Foundation should
look like skin. If it looks like the foundation is
‘sitting’ on your skin, you are probably using the
incorrect shade. When you test your foundation, it must match
your skin tone 100%. If it does not, it will look very
artificial when you apply it all over your face. Remember
that the majority of skin has yellowy tones and you need to use a
foundation with enough yellow colouring in it to match your skin
perfectly. Often foundation has too much pink in the colour to truly
resemble real skin.
2.
I find that even after I apply foundation, the dark rings under my eyes
are still showing?
Foundation should only be used to create an even skin tone. It should
not be used to ‘cover’ up problem areas.
Rather use a concealer to lighten the pigmented areas under your
eyes. Choose a concealer that is creamy in texture.
This will apply softly around the delicate eye area and lighten the
skin beautifully.
3.
My make-up never lasts during the day and normally it would have
faded or rubbed off by lunch time. What advice can you offer
me?
The solution to
this problem is – powder! If you apply powder over your face
correctly, it will “set” your make-up and make it
last for hours. The best way to “set” the
make-up it to use a powder puff and to “press” the
powder gently into the skin (do not forget the eye area).
4.
When I apply lipstick, it normally makes my teeth look
yellow. Please help!
It is important to
consider your teeth colour when choosing a lipstick shade. Very vivid
red, pink or orange shades tend to accentuate the yellowness in teeth,
while darker, more subdued colours minimise it. If you have stained or
chipped teeth, go for a lipstick shade that does not draw unwelcome
attention to your mouth. |
