HOW TO... Wear Purple Eyeshadow

Purple eyeshadow is definitely a look that anyone can wear. It especially looks great with green and brown eyes. Remember that there are many purples to choose from and some shades work better on certain skin tones.
Softer shimmery shades of purple, like lavender or sugary plums looks great on all skin tones, especially if you blend it softly around the eyes. Often purple shadows can bring out the dark circles under the eyes, so remember to apply concealer carefully all around the eyes before you apply the shadow.
Vibrant purples, like plums and berries look great on medium to dark skin tones, since you can apply it more intensely. You can either apply it on its own in a strong bold manner all over the eyelid, or you can blend it over a more classical smoky-black eye, which will give your eyeshadow a sexier new dimension.
Dark purple eyeliner is an elegant option, if you are still not sold on wearing a full application of purple eyeshadow. Apply the liner on the upper lash line, blending it as close as possible to the lashes. This will create a burst of colour every time you blink. You can also apply dark purple mascara on the lashes to strengthen the effect.
Finish off the look with a bronzer with gold flecks. This will illuminate the skin and bring the purple look into present day. Finally add a touch of pinky nude gloss and you are ready to rock on with your new purple look.
